Resourcemfg Names Mike Farren to Head Up New Minnesota Office

Manufacturers’ News (MNI) regional study shows Minnesota ranks thirteen in the nation and sixth in the Midwest by number of manufacturing jobs and accounts for 10% of the Midwest’s industrial employment. Among top US manufacturing cities, Minneapolis ranks fifth in the Midwest and eleventh in the US with 70,477 factory jobs. Commercial printing is Minnesota’s largest industry by employment accounting for 27,927 jobs, with plastic products ranking second with 22,295 jobs and third-ranked surgical and medical instrument represent 17,428 jobs. Manufacturers’ News also reports Minnesota is now home to 11,297 plants employing 522,390 workers. These data are part of the rationale for the new ResourceMFG office located in Burnsville, Minnesota.

The Area Manager and Certified Staffing Professional Mike Farren suggests that “Minnesota manufacturing has not been well-served by staffing organizations because current staffing services are trying to be everything to everyone. We are specializing in manufacturing and that is all we do. Our staff either comes from manufacturing or is trained extensively in manufacturing. We know what are strengths are and we focus only on those. The Grand Opening is designed to introduce the community to RMFG and let all manufacturing companies know that we are here for them and that we understand what they are looking for. So many other services are out there but are not completely focused on one industry like we are.”

Farren’s background is part of the ResourceMFG growth. Having been in the staffing industry for almost eight years, Farren is an ASA Certified Staffing Professional and a certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt. He’s held positions as an Account representative, Branch Manager, District Manager, and Regional Director with two of the largest staffing companies worldwide. In his previous positions he was responsible for opening or turning around failing or struggling markets and have been successful in all positions. Farren’s thrilled about the new Minnesota ResourceMFG office and hold the position of Area Manager tasked with opening and growing our newest and first northern expansion for the company.

ResourceMFG (www.resourcemfg.com) is involved with the total spectrum of manufacturing positions including production, quality, maintenance, supervision, and all levels of management. The company serves a wide variety of industry segments that include automotive, electronic, machining, sheet metal, fabrication, and many other specialized producers.

Manufacturing is the sole focus of ResourceMFG allowing a better manufacturing workforce.
